H yperNormalisation is a 2016 film by BBC documentary by British filmmaker Adam Curtis. In the film, Curtis argues that since the 1970s, governments, financiers, and technological utopians have given up on the complex “real world” and built a simple “fake world” that is run by corporations and kept stable by politicians.
H humanity’s ascent is often measured by the speed of progress. But what if progress is actually spiraling us downwards, towards collapse? Ronald Wright, whose best-seller, A Short History Of Progress inspired SURVIVING PROGRESS, shows how past civilizations were destroyed by “progress traps” – alluring technologies and belief systems that serve immediate needs, but ransom the future. D diagnosed with ovarian cancer, a woman walked out of her doctor’s office in search of an alternative treatment. Her mother had died of the same disease seven years earlier, and this woman’s doctor felt her chances were equally bleak. So she traveled to Oklahoma from her home in Kansas, where she met a shaman who gave her a tincture made from a common (and— among gardeners—universally hated) plant.
She faithfully used the tincture every day.
Fasting and Cancer
Fasting is nothing new. In fact, the practice has been part of medical recommendations and religious practices for centuries. But now we have scientific evidence to back up what we intuitively knew: Fasting can help the body rid itself of disease. One of the first major studies took place in 1945 and showed that intermittent fasting not only prolonged life but reduced the prevalence of breast cancer tumors in rats. Another more recent study in 2009 proved the practice can even reduce the severity of side effects due to high-dose chemotherapy.

I spotted a poster touting a new drug for osteoporosis. It was written by a drug company and it said exactly this: “Osteoporosis is a disease that causes weak and fragile bones.” Then, the poster went on to say that you need a particular drug to counteract this “disease.”
